Shorelight summer programs bring international students onto real U.S. university campuses in Orlando, Boston and Berkeley. Students take classes from university faculty and live on campus. Each program ends with a written plan.

Two pre-college academies and one undergraduate institute

Each program runs for two weeks on a U.S. university campus, with housing, meals and supervision included. Students can join as residential or, at the pre-college programs, as a day camper.

Leadership and Career Academy, Orlando

Leadership and career workshops at UCF, plus visits to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios to see how Disney runs a team.

Students work on their own leadership style with UCF faculty and look at possible majors and careers, then go to Disney to see how a large organization trains and runs its teams. The program ends with a team case study and a personal leadership plan.

Disney in practice

Applied AI in Engineering Summer Institute

Two weeks on how AI is used in engineering: robotics, energy systems, design and advanced manufacturing.

Faculty lectures, technical workshops and industry visits, with a team capstone presented at the end. Past weeks have included legged robotics and self-driving cars, wind and geothermal energy, machine learning for industrial systems, and tours of Amazon, the Intel Museum and the Berkeley wind tunnel.

What's included

One price covers the program

Every residential program includes housing, meals, insurance and airport transfers in the price.

Residential package

On-campus housing, meals and supervision for the full two weeks. Day camp options are available at the Orlando and Boston programs.

International support

Medical insurance and scheduled airport pickup, so a student traveling alone is met on arrival.

Experiences

Academic activities, campus visits and excursions are all in the price.
